On Wednesday, March 14, the Woodland Hills Junior Senior High School Library Media Center hosted its biannual Read-a-Thon. Teachers, administrators, community members, and students read sections of their favorite books aloud in the library to promote literacy. Over 500 students in 25 English classes were in the audience for this day long event.
The Read-a-Thon is part of the Woodland Hills Interaction Series (WHIS) programming. The WHIS was created by library media specialist Kevin McGuire and instructional technology coach Jason Coleman with the goal of providing first-class interaction opportunities for students at Woodland Hills Jr/Sr High School.
