Think Through Math Summer Math Splash

Math Splash from TTM.  Students who complete 3 lessons during a week will be eligible to win prizes. Parents can sign up their children for a chance to win a prize by completing 5 lessons throughout the summer.  Click the link to learn more about the Math Splash contests.

Think Through Math is for all children entering 4th grade.  They have a summer pathway assigned to them through their school TTM account.

Registration Now Open for Woodland Hills Pre-K Counts Program

Woodland Hills School District will have one (1) FULL DAY – 8:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.  PA Pre-K Counts classroom located at Edgewood Primary for the 2016-17 school year.  This program is free to residents whose children are four (4) years old by September 1, 2016 AND income is within 300% of federal poverty level.  Click here for chart.  Please keep in mind that parents must provide transportation to and from school.  Space is limited.  Please contact Renee Englert for enrollment information at (412) 731-1300 ext. 0155.

Edgewood's Garden

Mrs. Frederick’s kindergarteners and Ms. Walter’s first graders have been busy this spring planting a native plant garden at Edgewood.  The classes learned about the importance of bees and butterflies as pollinators and got to meet a bee expert. Together we planted seeds and are currently hatching ladybugs and praying mantises to live in our garden!

Wolverine Super Bowl Alums Honored

The Woodland Hills High School is proud to be a participant in the NFL’s 50th Super Bowl Celebration by recognizing former student-athletes who have participated in this storied tradition.  While we do not have a former Wolverine participating in this year’s game between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers, we were recognized by the NFL with four golden footballs for past participants.

WHHS Again A Bronze Medalist by U.S. News & World Report

Congratulations to Woodland Hills High School on earning their third straight Bronze Medal by U.S. News & World Report.

The U.S. News rankings include data on more than 21,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Schools were awarded gold, silver, or bronze medals based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college.  Other local Bronze Medal schools include North Allegheny and Penn-Trafford.
