PSSA Exams

The state mandated PSSA Exams will be administered to all 7th and 8th grade students on the following days:

April 14-15-16  Reading and Writing

April 21-22-23  Math

April 28-29 Science (8th Grade Only)

Students are reminded to:

  • Get a good night's sleep for several days before testing begins
  • Be on time for school on testing days
  • Leave all cell phones and other electronic devices at home on test days.

WHSD Well Represented at PMEA District Orchestra

Students from Woodland Hills High School, Junior High and Academy represented the Woodland Hills School District at PMEA District 1 Junior High Orchestra.  They participated with students from over 60 other surrounding schools in this festival on April 17-18.

Shave A Head for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

St. Jude Children's Research HospitalStudents in the gifted service learning class are raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Six of our teachers have volunteered themselves to shave their head or beard. The teacher that raises the most money will be the lucky one to shave their head or beard. We will have bins set out during each lunch period for students to donate money.

7th and 8th Grade Chess Team Wins Big at ESSPA

Gifted students from the Junior High and the Academy had a strong showing at the annual ESSPA Chess Tournament.

FBLA Flea Market at WHHS

Woodland Hills Future Business Leaders of America will be holding an indoor Flea Market on Saturday, May 2nd, 9AM- 1PM in the High School Gym.  We will be selling:  clothing, household items, toys, books, baked goods, homemade soup, and much more. All proceeds will benefit FBLA’s upcoming competitions. If you have any items you wish to donate, we will be accepting donations during the school day and Saturday, April 25th from 10AM- 12PM.  If you would like to participate as a vendor,we are selling tables for $15.  Please email Doreen Tabb at with any questions.
