I am so excited to be your child's Kindergarten teacher. Kindergarten is such an exciting year for you and your child. I have lots of fun activities this year to help you child grow academically, emotional, physically, and socially. It is my focus to help your child develop a love for learning and to feel proud of themselves and their growth. I believe that children learn best academically when social skills are implemented and emotional balance is in place. Kindergarten students learn from play as much as they do from academics, therefore I encourage dramatic play, creativity, and imaginiation into my classroom. I also incorporate mindfullness into my instruction to help my students begin to understand and regulate their feelings.
This is my 10th year in the Woodland Hills School District teaching Kindergarten. I graduated in 2008 with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and continued my education into Special Education. I look forward to working with you and having your child in my classroom this year! Check out Class Dojo App for pictures and to follow us throughout our day!
