ELA Learning support (K-6)
I am a graduate of Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Science degree in education and a Masters degree from the University of Pittsburgh in the area Psychology in Education. I am certified by the state of Pennsylvania in elementary and special education. This is my twelfth year of teaching and my eighth in the Woodland Hills School District. We are a team and I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year.
How to reach me:
Telephone: WH Academy Office- 412-824-2450, you may choose to leave a message with the secretary. Please be aware that I am only able to take or make phone calls at certain times during the school day.
Email: firstname.lastname@example.org- this will be the quickest, easiest way to reach me and receive feedback. I am able to check and/or respond to my email periodically throughout the day. Please consider this to be the best way to reach me.
Homework assignments will typically be given Monday through Thursday. I do not give homework on Friday. Please check your child’s homework each evening for accuracy and neatness. Also, please check your child’s backpack each evening to review his/her classwork and for school handouts.
IEP Meetings and Important special education documents:
I will notify you at least 10 days in advance of any upcoming IEP/re-evaluation due dates. We will decide on a date and time that works for everyone involved. For any documents that do not require a meeting but do require signatures I will send them home in a brown envelope with a pink “Please sign and return” sticker. Please return them as soon as possible. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
