Teacher/Staff Contact:

Greetings from Room 109 at The Academy!

I am Mrs. Moreno and am the 7th grade English teacher. I am a 2006 graduate from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a graduate of Grand Canyon University, with a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Reading. I have taught in the Woodland Hills School District for 6 years. I have conducted and presented research in effective practices in urban education and non-traditional students in a cohort model. I have begun investigating media literacy and best methods for imparting this skill to my students as they analyze all venues of media outlets.
