NOTES:  PLEASE CONTINUE TO COMPLETE THE 25 BOOK STANDARD WITH YOUR CHILD.  IF THE GOAL IS NOT MET, YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO PARTICIPATE IN FUN DAY AT THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR!
Please continue to practice the following:
            
             Writing
  • Neatness and pride in all written work
  • Proper letter formation
  • Finger space between words
  • Reading what you are writing and writing what you are reading

  • Practice reciting spelling words
  • Continue to recognize words in isolation(sitting alone) and in print (inside a sentence or written text)
  • Read books that interest you
  • Read books that are comfortable and easy when you are independent ( by yourself)
  • Read books that are more difficult and challenging when you are with a parent or another adult

  • Practice counting by 2,3,5,10's
  • Counting coins:  pennies, nickels and dimes
