Welcome Letter!

Hello! My name is Ms. Jaime Bacco. I am your child’s First Grade teacher for the 2016-17 school year. We are going to have a great year in First Grade! This is such an important year in your child’s education and we are so excited that we have a brand new English Language Arts curriculum called Super Kids! We are going to work so much every day on our Reading skills and our goal is to have your child reading fluently while building those necessary First Grade foundational skills! This is a great milestone year for your child! How exciting!

I just wanted to take the time to let you know a little bit about myself. This is my 10th year of teaching. I have taught Kindergarten, First Grade, Fourth Grade and Fifth Grade in the Penn Hills School District for 7 years. Since then, I proudly joined the Woodland Hills staff in 2014. This is my 2nd year as a First Grade teacher in the Woodland Hills School District. I absolutely love what I do and I love being part of the Wilkins Primary family.

I am really looking forward to working with your child and getting to know him/her on an academic and social level! I am a strong and firm believer in positive parent communication on a regular basis. I feel that as a team, we can all work together to meet the individual learning and social needs of your child. As a parent myself, I understand that these elementary school age years are crucial for the overall academic and social development of your child. My goal as a First Grade teacher is to prepare your child academically and socially for the real world. This is an exciting time in your child’s education, and I am so happy to be a part of it! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. You can reach me at the school at 412-824-3231 or you can email me at baccja@whsd.net. Email is the best way to get in contact with me. I look forward to working with you and getting to know you and your child.
