Woodland Hills Junior Senior High School has just been approved as a Common Sense Certified School: Digital Citizenship, an honor that recognizes our efforts in teaching digital literacy and citizenship to young people and engaging the entire school community in this important discussion. The WHJSHS Digital Citizenship curriculum, created by Library Media Specialist Kevin McGuire and Technology Coach Jason Coleman, was designed using Common Sense Media materials and resources.
This recognition is provided by Common Sense Education, part of a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of kids and families by providing the trustworthy information, education, and independent voice they need to thrive in a world of media and technology.
Mr. McGuire has also been recognized as a Common Sense Certified Educator for his work with Digital Literacy and Digital Citizenship.
Congratulations, Mr. McGuire!
