Chad Burnheimer

Welcome to Edgewood Primary.  My name is Chad M. Burnheimer and I will be the new principal of Edgewood Primary this year.  I have had a wonderful career in education over the last 21 years working in Texas, Maryland, West Virginia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.  I hold a B.A. in Art from Thiel College, a M.A. in Teaching and Learning with Technology from Ashford University, a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Edinboro University and Superintendent Credentials from Edinboro University.  While I have had many travels in my career, I was born and raised a Pennsylvanian and have done my best to return as soon as I could.  I am looking forward to a wonderful and successful school year.

Edgewood primary is a Pre-K through 3rd grade setting.  We have one Pre-K classroom, six kindergarten classrooms, five first grade classrooms, five second classrooms and four third grade classrooms.  We offer our students art, music, library once a week and physical education twice a week.

We promote the 5 P's at Edgewood Primary: Proud, Productive, Prompt, Prepared and Polite. Our goal is to have all of our students be happy, healthy and successful!

On behalf of our Assistant Principal Mrs. Lesley McDonough, myself, and our entire staff, I would like to thank you for choosing Edgewood Primary and the Woodland Hills School District!

"Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out."  -Robert Collier

My name is Lesley McDonough, and I am the Assistant Principal of Edgewood Primary.   I am a passionate, resourceful, and goal-oriented professional educator with over ten years of successful experience.   I hold a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership from Robert Morris University.   I began my career at Woodland Hills High School in the fall of 2004 as a social studies teacher.  Throughout my years at the high school I also served as a gifted coordinator, the department coordinator of the social studies department, as well as served in various other leadership roles.  I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the students of Edgewood Primary, and I will work tirelessly for my students and staff.  I look forward to working collaboratively with the stakeholders of the district to ensure a rigorous curriculum, a safe environment, and exceptional educational experience.   I truly believe it is always a great day to be a wolverine!
