Mrs. Sperduto's class had two visitors for their career project. They are learning about different careers from people in those fields. Recently, Erica Newport, a real estate agent, and Stephanie Miller, a beachbody coach, came to talk to them. Click the link to see some photos from the visit.
Especially Kind Edgewood Elementary Students of the Month were recognized by their teachers and rewarded with a Wii Party. The students got some exercise while enjoying their favorite Wii Games and a special treat.
WHSD Elementary students celebrated reading at the first meeting of the 2018 Millionaire Book Club. Kindergarten through sixth grade students are challenged to read a million words over the course of the next three months. Parents and children enjoyed games, refreshments, and “make-it take-it” activities. Each participant also received a book courtesy of the Millionaire Book Club.
The Edgewood Character Education Theme for February was KIndness. Edgewood staff and students rose to the Kindness Challenge and committed over 150 acts of random kindness over the course of the month. Those who participated were entered into a drawing, and twelve lucky winners walked away with some great prizes.
As part of dinosaur week, Ms. Reifman's pre-k students became archaeologists and went on a dino hunt thoughout Edgewood. Click the link to see more.
